2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, registering for, or using the StatementParse platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use or access the service. If you are using the service on behalf of a corporate entity, you warrant that you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Use of the Service

StatementParse is provided for lawful financial data conversion purposes only. By uploading files or data to the service, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are the owner of, or have explicit legal authority and permission to process, the bank statements and financial files you upload.
  • You will not upload files that contain malicious code, viruses, or any material that could damage or disrupt the platform's security.
  • You will not use any automated scrapers, bots, or extraction methods to access the service, except through authorized APIs.

4. Accuracy and Verification Disclaimer

STATEMENTPARSE IS AN AI-POWERED DOCUMENT EXTRACTION UTILITY DESIGNED TO CONVERT DATA AND ASSIST WITH DATA ENTRY. IT IS NOT ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE AND DOES NOT PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTING, TAX, FINANCIAL, OR AUDIT ADVICE.

WHILE WE STRIVE FOR 99% EXTRACTION ACCURACY, YOU AGREE THAT YOU REMAIN SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING, RECONCILING, AND VERIFYING THE ACCURACY OF ALL EXTRACTED DATA BEFORE IMPORTING IT INTO ANY ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE OR RELYING ON IT FOR BUSINESS OR LEGAL PURPOSES.

5. Billing, Credits, and Refund Policy

Our services are charged based on page-credit packages or subscription tiers as detailed on our Pricing page. All transaction prices are listed in South African Rands (ZAR).

  • Credit Packages: Credit purchases are one-time transactions. Purchased page credits do not expire and remain active on your account as long as your account is in good standing.
  • Payment Security: All card payments are processed securely via Paystack, a licensed South African payment gateway. No card details are stored on our servers.
  • Refunds (CPA Alignment): Because credits are made available for immediate use upon payment, credits that have been consumed for bank statement parsing are non-refundable. For unused credit packages, you are entitled to a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided that no credits from that package have been used. Refund requests can be sent to billing@statementparse.co.za.

6. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY SOUTH AFRICAN LAW, JIMPRO (PTY) LTD, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, SAVINGS, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, DATA, OR RECONCILIATION ERRORS ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE STATEMENTPARSE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS STRICTLY LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO US FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE TIER OR CREDIT PACKAGE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute arising from your use of the service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. You agree that any legal proceedings arising out of these Terms shall be brought in the appropriate South African court having jurisdiction.

8. Updates to Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms from time to time to align with legal developments or platform updates. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or through a banner on the platform. Continued use of the platform after updates have been published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
