Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if my PDF is password-protected?
StatementParse uses pdfjs-dist to extract text from encrypted PDFs. Simply upload the file — you don't need to unlock it first.
How does it handle multi-page statements?
The engine chunks large PDFs into page ranges and processes them in parallel. Results are merged and reconciled into a single clean output.
What if my bank isn't in the 50+ registry?
The engine falls back to a general extraction strategy. Results may be slightly less accurate but are still validated through all 7 pipeline stages.
Can I upload multiple statements at once?
Yes — Pro and Practice plans support up to 12 files per session. They are processed independently and can be exported together.
Is my data stored on your servers?
Files are processed in memory and never written to permanent storage. No statement data is retained after your session ends.
What does "pending" transaction filtering mean?
Pending transactions have not yet settled with the bank and are not real debits/credits yet. Importing them would cause discrepancies in your accounting software, so StatementParse removes them automatically.
